Revenue Sources and Business Model

Terratmosphera is committed to transparency in all aspects of its operations. Produced and hosted by FLAYOO Publishing House LTD on behalf of the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS), the journal operates with a commitment to ethical publishing, editorial independence, and long-term sustainability.

Revenue Sources

To support its editorial workflow, publishing operations, and open-access dissemination, Terratmosphera may draw on the following revenue sources:

Author Fees
As part of its open-access publishing model, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review administration, editorial handling, production, hosting, and dissemination. These fees support the accessibility of published articles while helping the journal maintain professional publishing standards.

Advertising
The journal may accept advertisements from academic institutions, scholarly organizations, research-related services, and companies whose activities are relevant to the journal’s mission and scope. All advertisements are subject to review to ensure appropriateness, relevance, and consistency with the journal’s ethical standards.

Reprints
Where applicable, reprints of published articles or journal issues may be provided to authors, institutions, or organizations for academic dissemination and professional use.

Organizational Support
The journal also benefits from institutional and professional support, including support associated with the Nigerian Society of Physical Sciences (NSPS) and other legitimate partners whose interests align with the advancement of scholarly research in Earth, atmospheric, environmental, and space sciences.

Editorial Independence

The revenue model of Terratmosphera does not influence editorial decision-making in any form. Editorial assessment, peer review, and publication decisions are based solely on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and scientific merit of submitted manuscripts.

To ensure transparency and integrity:

  • Editorial Integrity: APCs and other revenue sources do not affect editorial decisions.
  • Independent Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo editorial screening and peer review under the responsibility of the journal’s editorial structure, with peer review conducted independently of financial considerations.
  • Separation of Functions: Financial matters, advertising, and other sources of revenue are kept separate from editorial and peer review decisions.

Through this model, Terratmosphera aims to maintain both financial sustainability and the highest standards of academic publishing.
